It’s been a bit. Wrestling matches might be pre-determined, but wins and losses can make a big difference in a wrestler’s career. Fans are likely to get more interested in a wrestler who is more successful and a big win can be quite the game changer. This is certainly the case when a wrestler has not won in a very long time, which was the case again earlier this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Do It Again: Kurt Angle Announces Return To The Ring….But In A Different Way
This week’s NXT featured Cedric Alexander defeating Brooks Jensen in a match. According to Cagematch.net, this was Alexander’s first televised win since February 2023 and his first televised singles win since May 2021. While Alexander has won on the web series Main Event and on live events, he had not won on television in over a year. There is no word on when Alexander is set to return to the ring.

Opinion: The interesting thing here isn’t so much that Alexander won but rather that it had been so long since we had seen it happen. That is something you would not guess about losing streaks, as there was no reason to believe it would happen this way back when it started. It goes to show you how fast things can change in wrestling and I’m sure it was nice for Alexander to have a change of pace.
