There’s still time. We are less than a day away from WWE King And Queen Of The Ring but a good chunk of the card was not officially set even with twenty four hours to go. In this case, the show’s namesake matches were not even set and that means there was a lot of work that needed to be done. A lot of that work was done this week, with matches being added on SmackDown.

There were three new matches added to the King And Queen Of The Ring card this week on SmackDown. First up, Nia Jax defeated Bianca Belair in the semifinals of the Queen Of The Ring tournament, advancing to face Lyra Valkyria in the finals. Next, Randy Orton defeated Tama Tonga, setting up the King Of The Ring final against Gunther. Finally, a Women’s Tag Team Title match with Indi Hartwell/Candice LeRae challenging Belair/Jade Cargill was announced for the Kickoff Show. The event takes place on May 25, with the Kickoff Show beginning at 11am EST.
It was a busy night. Check out some of matches being set and the title challengers:
Opinion: This is the kind of night that the show needed as there was a lot of work that still needed to be do for the pay per view. If nothing else, the show’s namesake matches weren’t even ready and while that was always going to be wrapped up here, it was nice to finally get them done. I’m not sure what to expect from the show, but they got the big work done to set it up.
