It’s almost like clockwork. There is no true way around addiction. People from all walks of life suffer from it and that is never going to change. The same thing is true of wrestlers and you never know when something is going to cause someone to have an issue, slip up or just make a bad decision. Some names continue to have problem after problem and that is the case again.

According to TMZ.com, Jeff Hardy was arrested on Saturday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for public intoxication and impairment. Hardy was released on a $200 bond and according to PWInsider by way of 411mania.com, has already paid a $153 fine. Hardy will not be required to appear in court if he does not want to fight the charge and he will be allowed to work in South Carolina with no restrictions. He is currently out of action rehabbing a knee injury. WWE has issued a statement saying that “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own actions.

Here is Hardy’s mugshot:

Hardy’s injury forced him to vacate the Tag Team Titles. Check out what happened when the Hardys dropped the belts:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to think of something like this. It’s not something that can be understood unless you’ve been there, though this feels like something that is not quite as serious as some other instances. Hardy does not seem to have been driving or hurting anyone, but would it have been had he not been caught? I’m not sure what is next for Hardy, but this is another instance that does not look good and could have been worse.
