Call it a battleground. WWE is still the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and that has been the case for a very long time now. There is nothing to suggest that their status will change anytime soon, but they now have someone closing in on them for the first time in a good while. AEW has changed things up a lot, and some small battle lines have been draw, but not one that you might expect.

According to a Q&A session with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE wrestlers are not taking extreme sides between the two companies. While there are such stances taken by WWE, management, the wrestlers are said to not have as much of an us vs. them mentality. Several of the wrestlers from both promotions have made positive references to each other in the past and there is nothing to suggest any serious animosity between the two sides.

Both promotions have done rather well. Check out what they have been doing as of late:

Opinion: It’s nice to see this being the case for a change, as we are now in an era where both companies can thrive without seriously hurting the other. You can watch Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and Dynamite without crossing over with the others and the feeling of anger does not seem to be around. That is a welcome change from the Monday Night Wars, which were such a mess in a lot of different ways.
