The Important Parts: WWE Announces New Details On The Draft

Mark your calendars. WWE presents quite a few major events every year, some of which can have huge implications for the remainder of the year. While premium live events like WrestleMania, Summerslam and more get the most focus, there are some other things which are in a slightly different format. Now we know some important details about one such idea.

Last week on SmackDown, WWE announced the return of the Draft. This week, WWE announced that the Draft will take place Friday April 28 on SmackDown and Monday May 1 on Monday Night Raw. There were no further details announced for the show, though Triple H promised that it would be the biggest ever. WWE last held the Draft in October 2021 with no 2022 edition.

Opinion: This feels more like the Drafts of recent years and that is a good thing. FOX and USA know how to make them feel like important events and that is how they should be presented. The Draft can shake WWE up if they are done properly and it should be interesting to see how the new regime handles the concept. WWE could use this kind of a change and now we might be getting one.
