So much for that. Stables have a long history in wrestling and it makes a lot of sense. When a promotion has so many people involved at the same time, you can only find so many ways to present them all. That is certainly the case with WWE at the moment, hence the amount of stables that they have. Now one of them is having a few issues though and a stable might be splitting.
The Hurt Business has been doing all kinds of great things as of late and at one point, all three of the active wrestlers on the team held titles at the same time. That is a pretty impressive feat and it showed just how dominant the team had been. The team has slipped up a bit since then though and it seems that the remaining champion does not seem to be happy with the situation.
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the split of the Hurt Business, as Lashley attacked Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. This comes after Benjamin and Alexander lost a handicap to Drew McIntyre last week, meaning they were barred from Lashley vs. McIntyre at WrestleMania 37. Lashley made it clear that the two were done with the team and attacked both men.
What could have been. Check out the team before the split:
Opinion: I really hope that this isn’t permanent as there is a lot that can be done with the Hurt Business. The team has been one of the best things in all of WWE in recent months and it would be a shame to see them split up. Let the team just be around for a little while, because WWE has a bad tendency to change things that do not need to be adjusted whatsoever.
