Welcome home brother. Over the last few years, the status of Hulk Hogan in WWE has been one of the most up and down stories to be found. He’s either making a random appearance at a show like Crown Jewel or he’s just about to make his return or he’s not allowed to be talked about. You never can quite pin it down, but at the moment it seems that he’s welcome.

According to the official Monday Night Raw preview on WWE.com, Hogan will be appearing on this week’s Monday Night Raw to celebrate the life of Mean Gene Okerlund, who passed away earlier this week. This will be Hogan’s first appearance on the show in several years and his first appearance with the company since Crown Jewel in November. Hogan was associated with Okerlund for years, inducting him into the Hall of Fame in 2006. There is no word on whether this is more than a one off appearance.

I think this speaks for itself. Check out what might be the most 80s WWF thing ever:

"Mean" Gene Okerlund trains with Hulk Hogan

Opinion: I know you could say that this is just taking advantage of Okerlund’s death to have Hogan come back to the show, but really, if you’re going to have something about Okerlund, Hogan has to be there. It just wouldn’t feel right otherwise and there’s nothing wrong with that. Hogan and Okerlund felt joined at the hip for a long time and Hogan should be there.

What do you expect Hogan to do on the show? Who else should be there in Okerlund’s memory? Let us know in the comments below.
