History has been made! There are so many wrestlers in WWE today that it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. WWE already has wrestlers on two different rosters and that isn’t even considering NXT. That makes things even more complicated as NXT is the official WWE developmental system. Sometimes you see some crossover between the rosters, and that was the case in a big way this week.
Dolph Ziggler won the NXT Title this week in a triple threat match over defending champion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa. This is Ziggler’s first NXT Title win and came in his first title shot. Ziggler has been feuding with Breakker and Ciampa over the title in recent weeks. While not confirmed, it is expected that Ziggler will defend the title at Stand & Deliver on April 2 against an opponent to be named.
Opinion: This is something that is rather surprising but is a smart move overall. Odds are this leads to Breakker getting his rematch at Stand & Deliver and getting his title back, which can come on a big stage against a former WWE World Champion. Breakker is someone WWE seems to want to push and this is a big part of that, as it is going to be a long form project.
What do you think of the title change? How will Ziggler’s reign go? Let us know in the comments below.
