There’s the first one. AEW has done a lot of things right since debuting just a few years ago. One of their greatest strengths is the way they have presented their championships, as the titles have been treated as some of the most important things in the promotion. That is hard to accomplish but AEW has pulled it off. Now they have a chance to take the next step for their top title.
AEW President Tony Khan spoke with Robbie Barstool on My Mom’s Basement and revealed that Kenny Omega will be defending the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega at Full Gear on November 13. The match comes after Page won the Casino Ladder Match during last week’s edition of Dynamite. The two met last year at Full Gear, with Omega defeating Page to become the new #1 contender.
This could be great. Check out some of their history together:
Opinion: This is a match that is a long time in the making and the fast turnaround between Page becoming #1 contender and getting the title shot works out well. That being said, I’m not sure how well such a fast title change would go over with how long Omega has held the championship. The whole thing could work out well, as AEW has enough of a track record to make me believe in them.
What do you expect from the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
