It’s a big one. The wrestling world has changed quite a bit in recent years as AEW has shaken everything up in a positive way. Not only do wrestling fans now have more content to watch, but there is now another place for the wrestlers to showcase themselves on television. This is the case with other promotions as well and now one of them is getting a special chance.

Back in December, Impact Wrestling executive Don Callis helped Kenny Omega defeat Jon Moxley to become the new AEW World Champion. Following the match, Omega said he would see us on Tuesday, meaning Impact Wrestling. The two promotions began a loose association, but now a new announcement means that the association will be getting a bit tighter.

This week on Impact Wrestling, Scott D’Amore announced that the winner of this Saturday’s Moose vs. Rich Swann title unification match will go on to face Omega in a title vs. title match at Rebellion on April 24. Omega had teased coming after the title in his earlier appearances on Impact Wrestling but never challenged for it. The AEW and Impact World Titles will not be unified.

This is quite the get. Check out how how things were set up and what is waiting on the winner:

Opinion: This wasn’t exactly a surprise as the match has been teased for several weeks now. Omega coming after the title makes sense as there is not much else for him to do in Impact Wrestling. The match should be quite the draw for Impact Wrestling and that is the entire point of having AEW show up and make them look so bad most of the time. Hopefully it works out, as it could be quite the waste of time if it doesn’t.
