There’s still time. Earlier this week, there was a surprising and somewhat scary story about Asuka being injured during a match with Mandy Rose at a house show on Monday night. The match was stopped and it wasn’t clear how bad Asuka’s condition actually was. Asuka was banged up but said she was ok and would up getting physical on SmackDown Live. As it turns out though, it may be a bit worse than it seems.

According to Post Wrestling, Asuka was originally scheduled to face Rose’s friend Sonya Deville on this week’s SmackDown Live. Those plans were changed though with Rose defeating Naomi in less than a minute instead with Asuka attacking Rose and Deville after the match. There is currently no word on if Asuka will be ready to go for her scheduled title defense this Sunday at Fastlane.

Do you think she looks ready? Check out Asuka getting involved on this week’s SmackDown Live:

Opinion: I would be a bit surprised if the match doesn’t take place, but WWE does have a bit of an ace up their sleeve as Asuka is the kind of person who could win a match by just kicking Rose in the head for the pin. Would that really be the worst or least believable idea in the world? Either way, Asuka should be fine on Sunday and she can move on to whatever WWE has in mind for her at WrestleMania next month.
