Homecoming: WWE Legend Returning For Special Milestone Ceremony

He’s earned it. There are certain names in wrestling who are all time stars and the kind of people who can show up and make an impact no matter what they are doing. Every so often they will be back for a special milestone and it can be a huge moment if everything comes together. That is what WWE is going to be trying to do later this year with a special night.

This week on SmackDown, it was announced that Edge will return to WWE television on August 18 for the celebration of his 25th anniversary in WWE. The show will take place in Edge’s hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There is no word on what Edge will be doing or if he will be wrestling on the show. Edge last appeared on the July 7 SmackDown where he defeated Grayson Waller.

Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not get to see very often but that makes it feel all the more special. Edge has been around since 1998 (albeit with some long stretches away) and has won just about everything possible in WWE and it will be nice to see him get this kind of recognition. Odds are he will not be around much longer due to his age and the wear and tear on his body, but at least he is getting another awesome moment.
