Homecoming: WWE Legend Confirmed For WarGames At Survivor Series In Major Return

He’s back. There are certain wrestlers who will make an impact no matter what they are doing and it can be a huge deal to have them back after a long absence. Unfortunately those absences can take a very long time on occasion but it makes for some incredible moments when they get back. That was kind of the case again this week, though not in the most direct way.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes and his team were told to select a fifth member for WarGames at Survivor Series this coming Saturday. At the end of the show, Rhodes dropped several hints that the fifth member would be Randy Orton. While Rhodes never actually said Orton’s name and Orton did not appear, WWE.com confirmed that Orton will be the fifth member. Orton has been out of action since May 2022 following back surgery.

Opinion: While the ending to the show could have gone more smoothly, WWE did at least announce the return to avoid anything in the way of controversy or confusion. Orton is one of the biggest stars in WWE history and it will be nice to have him back in the ring. I’m not sure how much longer Orton will have in the ring but he should be getting a chance to do something like this again.
