Welcome back. There are a lot of reasons why a wrestler might not appear on television for a long while. It could range from an injury to the company not having any ideas for them to some form of punishment. That is often the case in WWE today, with the Wellness Policy causing a variety of wrestlers to miss some ring time. One of those names made their return this week.

Any kind of return can often breathe some life into a story. Suddenly you have a wrestler who has not been around in a good while showing up and being injected right back into things all over again. That offers a fresh side to the story and under the right circumstances, it can be exactly what is needed. Hopefully that is the case with the most recent return.

This week on SmackDown, Robert Roode returned from a thirty day suspension due to violating the WWE Wellness Policy. Roode appeared at the end of the show, coming to the aid of King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler as he helped them attack Roman Reigns and the Usos. Roode had been teaming with Ziggler for several weeks, including a reign as the Raw Tag Team Champions.

Roode is back in a big way. Check out how he made his return:

Opinion: I haven’t been big on this storyline but Roode and Ziggler are more interesting in the ring than Corbin and Ziggler. If nothing else, they feel like a regular tag team than Corbin and his head lackey. There is nothing wrong with having some lackeys around and while Roode may not be interesting on his own, he is certainly better than just having Ziggler do everything for Corbin.

Are you glad Roode is back? What do you see him doing? Let us know in the comments below.
