They deserve it. Wrestlers are not exactly like most people working at a job, as they are often going all over the country or even the world to ply their trade. It is rare for them to get to head back to where they call home and even rarer for them to get to wrestle in such a place. Now two legends were able to do so this week and they had something to do after the show was over.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The main event featured a triple threat match for the Trios Titles, with Winnipeg’s own Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega taking part. According to PWInsider.com, both of them addressed the live fans after the event went off the air. Omega sat in the ring and waited to get a microphone, allowing him to never forget where you come from. He talked about various places he wrestled in the city and said that AEW would likely be back.
Following the Rampage taping, Jericho talked about how AEW was basically born in Winnipeg due to his match with Omega in New Japan. He then brought out Omega and Don Callis, the latter of whom said after his entire career in wrestling, it always led him back here. Omega gave his catchphrases and had Judas played to end the night. There is no word on when AEW plans to return to the city.
They have had some great times in AEW. Check out their history in the company:
Opinion: That is the kind of moment that most wrestlers only dream of having and it is amazing to have two of them getting the same thing on the same night. Jericho and Omega may not be everyone’s favorite wrestlers, but they have done some amazing things in AEW. They deserve to get this kind of a moment in front of their friends and families in their hometown.
What did you think of the main event? What is next for both of them in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
