Andrade El Idolo has not wrestled since September 4, 2022, due to a combination of a suspension from AEW over a backstage fight with Sammy Guevara and surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, El Idolo is expected to wrestle at a show in Mexico on June 15, which would have him back in the ring before the debut of AEW Collision on June 17. There is no word on if he will be wrestling before the 15th.

Opinion: That is better than expected after the surgery in November. Hopefully El Idolo is back and able to showcase his obvious talent, as there is a lot he could be doing for AEW as soon as he is ready to go. If nothing else, he will be getting a fresh start on Collision, which he certainly could use at this point.
