Earlier this week, AEW star Toni Storm announced her retirement in a surprise. Storm even said that she had not told AEW President Tony Khan about her decision. However, according to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, Storm’s retirement is “obviously” a work. There is no word on when or how Storm is expected to return to AEW television or how her retirement will be addressed.
Storm has been a star in AEW. Check out her time there:
Opinion: I’m not sure how big of a surprise this is as there was little reason to believe that Storm was going to walk away from her career when she probably has decades left to go in the ring. Storm is one of the biggest stars in AEW’s women’s division and it would be almost hard to fathom her just being done with everything. It should be good to have her back, as Storm can make quite the return, whenever it happens.
What do you think of Storm? How should she be brought back to AEW TV? Let us know in the comments below.
