That might get some attention. AEW has only been running events for a little under two years now but they have already figured out a lot of their identity. That is more than a lot of other companies can do in ten times that long but AEW has managed to pull it off. This includes a variety of different aspects, both in the ring and backstage. One of the latter is now getting some more attention.
Tag team wrestling has been a huge part of AEW since the beginning. The company has focused on the division more than almost any other major promotion in recent memory and still does so to this day. AEW has a great mixture of young and older teams with a fine variety of styles. Some of them are more entertainment based than others and one of them was at it again.
It’s kind of catchy. Check out the latest music video:
AEW’s the Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Castor) have released a new music video, mocking Chris Jericho and Maxwell Jacob Friedman, which includes joking references to various stories from Friedman and Jericho’s careers and lives. The two teams are scheduled to face off on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. The Acclaimed regularly rap their own entrance theme for their matches.
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that works rather well for AEW as they let their wrestlers have this kind of creative freedom. It’s certainly an area where they are ahead of WWE, where everything is so prim and polished and it doesn’t feel natural whatsoever. I had a good time with this and it was one of the funnier things AEW has done in a bit, mainly because allowed to be.
