Higher On The List: Rhea Ripley Achieves New WWE Milestone

That’s a big one. There are all kinds of titles in wrestling and some of them have been around for quite awhile. At the same time, there are certain titles that are still actively building their lineage, which takes quite a bit of time. Wrestlers holding titles for a good while can make that lineage stronger, and now we are seeing someone do just that with a new milestone.

As of Friday, Rhea Ripley has held the WWE Women’s Title Title, formerly known as the SmackDown Women’s Title, for 300 days. This marks the second longest reign in the title’s history after Bayley’s 380 day reign. Ripley would need to hold the title until the middle of April to break Bayley’s record. The longest Women’s Title reign in modern WWE history is Bianca Belair at 420 days, which Ripley would surpass at the end of May.

Opinion: The interesting thing about Ripley’s title reign is how easy it is to forget she is champion. Ripley has few serious challengers and there is little reason to believe that she is going to lose the title anytime soon. She is an absolute monster champion and I can’t imagine her being in any serious jeopardy until WrestleMania at the earliest. It’s going to be a big deal when Ripley loses the title, but it could also be a very long time away.
