The restocking might take even more time now. According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Hideo Itami is injured again and may miss several months. The injury occurred at a house show on October 1 when Itami took a powerslam wrong and landed on his neck. There is no word on what the injury is or a specific length of time he would be out. You can see the injury below.

Itami recently returned from being out for over a year with a severe shoulder injury. It seemed that Itami was ready for a large push before his initial injury and he even appeared in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at “Wrestlemania XXXI” back in 2015. The injury comes at a bad time for NXT as they’re still recovering from the call-ups from the WWE Draft.

Itami is someone who has a ton of potential but keeps getting pulled back because of injuries. You can only do so much when Itami doesn’t have the strongest character in the first place and can’t stay healthy long enough to make a major impact. This also puts his team in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and feud with Austin Aries up in the air.

What do you think this means for Itami? Should WWE consider releasing him? Will Itami ever be a big star in NXT or in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
