He’s Still Got It: How CM Punk Has Drawn Some Money For WWE This Month

He’s still got it. There are certain wrestlers who are associated with certain locations, often including their hometowns. It makes a big difference when a show comes there as it will often include some sort of a special moment. This can also lead to an elevated interest in the show and now we are seeing it again, as WWE is doing rather well in a certain location due to a top star appearing.

WWE has announced that CM Punk will be appearing on the March 25 Monday Night Raw from Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. According to WrestleTix, WWE has sold an additional 2,632 tickets since Punk’s appearance was announced. As of Wednesday March 20, there were just over 500 tickets remaining for the show. There is no word on what Punk will be doing on the show.

Opinion: While Punk can’t be credited with all of the ticket sales, it is pretty clear that Punk being added to the card is a big deal. The fans in Chicago want to see whatever he is doing and now we are going to get a nice push on the way to WrestleMania. At the same time, Punk is almost going to be about two months into his rehab by the time the show gets to Chicago. That is a big chunk of the way to him getting back into the ring and he hasn’t been away for any stretch of time.
