It has to happen. Retirement is one of the trickiest concepts in wrestling as the sport does not have seasons, meaning wrestlers can jump in and out at any time. That makes it difficult to figure out when a wrestler decides to end their career, but it is still a big deal when someone decides to stop. While it is not time yet, one prominent star is at least talking about it.

Seth Rollins appeared on the Pivot and discussed his time appearing in acting roles. While Rollins said that he did not love acting, he could see himself dabbling in it after his in-ring career is over. Rather than acting, Rollins said that he wanted to continue helping the business grow, possibly through his wrestling school. Rollins said that while he has a way to go in his career, he is “certainly closer to the end than the beginning.” There is no word on when Rollins, 38, plans to retire from wrestling.

Opinion: As weird as it is to imagine Rollins hanging it up for good, he has been on the main WWE roster for about twelve years now, which involved a rather intense style and came after a long career elsewhere. Rollins’ body has seemed to start failing him a bit more frequently and at some pint that has to take him out of the ring. That might not be taking place anytime soon, but he is at least thinking about it.
