He drew the line. Wrestling is a physical sport but some wrestlers go further than the rest in violence. There are some wrestlers who will do more than their average cohorts and get noticed for it as a result. These are wrestlers who will often do just about anything in the ring, but now of the most famous has revealed one thing he would not do, which happened outside of wrestling.

During a recent episode of Foley Is Pod, Mick Foley talked about refusing to take a chair shot while he was co-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live. The middle of the chair would have been gimmicked to hit him, but the rim of the chair would not have been. Foley cites the rim of the chair, the inexperience of the unnamed person planning to hit him, and being busted open by Terry Funk, an experienced wrestler, under the same circumstance. Foley co-hosted five episodes of the show in 2005.

Opinion: I can’t say I blame Foley for not wanting to take that kind of a chair shot in this situation. If something goes wrong, he has a medical issue to deal with and that isn’t something that needs to happen. No one is going to question Foley’s toughness in wrestling but there is a difference between being tough and being dangerous without needing to be in the first place.
