They weren’t interested. There are certain wrestlers who have become legends in the industry due to everything they have managed to accomplish. These are some of the names that you hear about over the years and almost always in a positive light. It can mean a lot to have them around but now both WWE and AEW turned down the chance to have one of the biggest names ever working for them.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Down Again: Popular AEW Star Missing More Time Due To Injury

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that back in 2019, WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart offered to work as an agent for AEW. Instead, AEW President Tony Khan wanted Hart to work as an on-screen character but not have any backstage authority. Hart reportedly made the same offer to WWE but was turned down. One of the possible reasons Hart was turned down was he wanted to work from home rather than go on the road. Hart is said to find the story “overblown” as it is old news.

Hart is worth a look. Check out some of his better in-ring moments:

Opinion: I can understand the idea of not being interested in having Hart work remotely and it definitely takes away some of the edge from “AEW and WWE turned Hart down”. Hart is one of the most revered names in wrestling history and I’m sure he could offer a lot, but there are certain things that he would have to do to make that work. If he isn’t willing to do so, it’s understandable that it wouldn’t work.

What do you think of Hart’s offer? What is the best part of Hart’s career? Let us know in the comments below.
