He can’t go. WWE is an international promotion with wrestlers from around the world. At the same time, the company runs events in different countries, making for some interesting situations and events. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther was interviewed by Krone and revealed that due to residency regulations, he is not allowed to travel outside of the United States for the next six months. This is why he did not wrestle at this weekend’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia and it also means that he will not be wrestling at Elimination Chamber in Australia in February 2024. Gunther can wrestle anywhere within the United States.

Gunther has been doing some rather impressive things as of late. Check out some of his work in WWE:

Opinion: This is one of those things that has to be done and thankfully it will be over before too long. Gunther has to follow these rules to prevent a much bigger problem later on. While annoying for the fans in Saudi Arabia and Australia, there is not much that can be done about the situation. The good side is the fact that this has little to do with most of Gunther’s schedule so he is barely going to miss any significant time.
