That’s an honor. There are all kinds of wrestlers throughout the history of the sport and many of them come and go without making the biggest impact. It can be a big deal when one of them makes their mark in wrestling and occasionally they are honored for what they have contributed to the spot. That is what we are going to be seeing again in quite an important way.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Homecoming: AEW Personality Returns To Dynamite Following Medical Absence

The Thesz Tragos Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame has announced that Jake Hager, also known as Jack Swagger, will be inducted into the Hall. The announcement (as per PWInsider.com) details Hager’s career in amateur ad professional wrestling, along with his career in mixed martial arts. There is no word on when he will be inducted. Hager left AEW earlier this year and has returned to the independent circuit.

He was quite good. Check out Hager’s time in the ring:

Opinion: This is a bit of a surprising pick but Hager has a background that few in wrestling can claim. When you mix together the professional and amateur wrestling work, plus the mixed martial arts career as a bit of a bonus, it makes things all the more impressive. I could go for seeing more of Hager’s career and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him show up in another high level promotion one day, and this isn’t going to hurt those efforts.

What do you think of the announcement? Where do you see Hager wrestling next? Let us know in the comments below.
