Welcome to the team. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers in the world but only so many spots for them in the major promotions. It can be a big deal when one of them leaves either WWE or AEW for the other, even if their debut is expected. That is what we got again this week, as a former multiple time champion in WWE made the jump on a pretty big stage.

Former WWE United States and Intercontinental Champion Ricochet made his debut with AEW this weekend at All In. Ricochet entered the Casino Gauntlet match in the tenth slot but did not win the match. Following the match, AEW President Tony Khan officially announced that Ricochet has signed with the promotion. Ricochet left WWE earlier this year when his contract expired and had been rumored for a spot in AEW.

He’s a big get. Check out what is coming to AEW:
Opinion: Even if this was pretty much known in advance, it is nice to see Ricochet making his AEW debut and getting to showcase his talent outside of WWE. Ricochet is someone who was somewhat used in WWE but maybe there is a bigger spot for him elsewhere. If nothing else, he is getting a spot and got to come in with quite the splash, which is more than a lot of people can do.
What do you think of Ricochet’s debut? How should he be used in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
