He’s In: Daniel Garcia Makes Major Decision About His Wrestling Future

Decision. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works, as there is now another major place for wrestlers to showcase themselves. While several names have jumped from WWE to AEW, it is a bit more rare for the opposite to take place. Another AEW star had the chance to do just that again and now we know the decision that he has made, as he announced it on television.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the return of Daniel Garcia, marking his first appearance since All Out last month. Garcia announced that he had signed a new contract with AEW and promised to come after a title. This ends several months of speculation over Garcia’s future, as his contract was expected to expire this month amid rumors that both WWE and AEW were interested in signing him.

Opinion: While there had been interest from WWE, I’m not overly surprised that Garcia chose to stick with AEW. At the end of the day, he has been there for a good while now and the groundwork has already been laid for a nice run. This is the result that makes the most sense and maybe Garcia can wind up in WWE later on in his career. For now though, things should be interesting for a good while to come.
