He's Gone: WWE Announces Suspension For NXT Star Over Altercation With Shawn Michaels

He won’t be around. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to miss time from television and some of them are a bit more serious than others. While there are multiple real life reasons for a wrestler to miss some time, some of the reasons are only for the sake of advancing a storyline. That seems to be the case again, as an NXT star is going to be missing for a little while.

Over the weekend, Grayson Waller was defeated by Bron Breakker in the main event of NXT Vengeance Day. Following the match, Waller confronted NXT executive Shawn Michaels and asked what he needed to do to become the top star in NXT. On Monday, WWE announced that Waller had been suspended for one week for his actions. Waller has since responded, asking to be allowed back so he can pose with Michaels like other WWE stars. There is nothing to suggest that the suspension is anything more than a storyline.

Opinion: Waller continues to feel like someone who could be a big deal in NXT rather soon. If that is the case, NXT has a star on their hands as Waller knows how to drive people just nuts enough to want to see him get what is coming to him. At the same time, it is a lot of fun to see Waller get mixed up with someone like Michaels, who is a legend with a good bit to offer to someone like Waller.
