He’s Here: Details On Vince McMahon At Monday Night Raw, Morale Reportedly “Felt Nuked”

It didn’t go well. WrestleMania 39 took place over the weekend and was followed by the normal Raw After WrestleMania edition of Monday Night Raw. The event is normally known for a variety of returns, surprises and major storylines. However, that did not take place this year, which comes amid rumors of changes backstage in WWE. Now we know a bit more about how it is being received.

As previously reported, this week’s Monday Night Raw featured several more rewrites than in recent months. According to PWInsider.com, Vince McMahon was “heavily” involved in this week’s Monday Night Raw. While Triple H was officially running the show, McMahon became more and more involved throughout the show.

This reportedly caused a heavy hit to backstage morale, with a source saying the “place felt nuked”. There are different groups backstage who feel that McMahon is back to running everything while others are taking a wait and see approach. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, “He was running TV tonight. He’s back. It’s what it was. It will be what it was before. And if people think that was bad, it will be bad. And that’s just the way it is.”

Opinion: This is something that feels like the new reality and I’m not sure how well that is going to be accepted. At the end of the day, the McMahon style of WWE television is not the most well received but it might be what we are getting anyway. It shouldn’t be a surprise that a lot of people were not pleased, but maybe things are not as bleak as they seem. We’ll have to wait and see though, and that is a tough thing to do.
