He’s Back: WWE Hall Of Famer Makes Special Appearance This Week On SmackDown

Welcome back. There have been all kinds of wrestlers over the years in WWE but only a few of them have gone on to legendary status. These are the wrestlers who might show up again every so often for a special moment, which is often something that they are connected to in some way. That was the situation again this week as a WWE Hall Of Famer made a special appearance.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: On The Rise? WWE Considers Promoting Former NXT Champion To Main Roster

WWE Hall Of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield made a special appearance this week on SmackDown, where he provided guest commentary throughout the show. This week’s show was the annual Tribute To The Troops special, which Layfield has supported throughout its twenty year plus history. Layfield has done commentary for WWE over the years. There is nothing to suggest that this will be anything more than a one off appearance.

Opinion: This is the kind of appearance that is perfect for Layfield, who is a WWE legend as well as a former commentator, but more important, he has been such a big part of Tribute To The Troops over the years. Layfield is someone who can be put into the commentary booth every so often without much trouble and that is nice to see. It worked here, and it could work again if WWE needs him to do it for another special occasion.
