He's Back? CM Punk Reportedly Backstage At WWE Monday Night Raw, Asked To Leave

Him? There are certain wrestlers who become nothing short of lightning rods in the industry. No matter what they are doing, there is something about them that just draws attention, either positive or negative, to them at any given chance. Some of them have burned quite a few bridges in their day, but now one of them went back over a rather burned bridge, at least for a little bit.

According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s CM Punk was backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw, which was held near Punk’s hometown of Chicago. Punk reportedly saw Triple H, likely for the first time since walking out on WWE in 2014, though there is no word on how the meeting went. He also met with several other WWE stars before being asked to leave the arena, with the order coming from Vince McMahon himself. Punk is said to have immediately said his goodbyes and left the building. There is no word on why Punk came to the venue.

Opinion: I really didn’t have this one on my Bingo card for the week and that is one of the things that makes wrestling all the more exciting. Above all else, just the idea of Punk being in a place that he left in such a dramatic fashion is almost hard to fathom. While I can’t imagine this going anywhere, Punk being around even for a short backstage appearance is something I never really thought I would see again. Isn’t wrestling fun?
