It’s been a bit. A wrestler making a surprise return can be a great moment for fans, as someone they have missed for a long time is back for some fresh action. That opens up a bunch of doors for everyone involved and meas fans are going to get something special. That was the case earlier this week and now we know a bit more about what WWE had been doing.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Uh Oh? WWE Reportedly Worried About Netflix Streaming Issues, Netflix’s Response

This week on SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura made his first televised appearance since April, as he attacked LA Knight, seemingly putting himself into the United States Title picture. According to Fightful Select by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Nakamura’s return has been planned for several weeks, though he was not listed on the internal rundown. At the same time, there is no word on when the title match will take place.

It’s a good pairing. Check out the segment and the two on their own:

Opinion: That was quite the return for Nakamura and I’m curious to see how it goes for both of them. Nakamura being back after such a long absence is a good thing to see as it opens up a variety of doors. At the same time, Knight has been in need of a fresh opponent and Nakamura certainly fits the bill. Now just make the match work and everything should be fine.

What did you think of the return? How will the feud go? Let us know in the comments below.
