That’s up first. Last month, AEW announced their third weekly series with Collision, which will debut on June 17. This gives AEW five hours of television every single week but the show is airing Saturday nights, which is not going to make things easy for them. The first show is going to need a big time main event to set things off on the right foot, and that is what they are doing.

This week on AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the main event of the first edition of Collision will see CM Punk teaming up with FTR to face Juice Robinson, Jay White and Samoa Joe. This comes after rumors of Punk wanting to work with White or Joe as he returns to action. The match will be Punk’s first since All Out in September 2022 due to a triceps injury and a suspension.
There are some talented people here. Check out who will be there with Punk:
Opinion: That’s an interesting match to choose and there is a good chance that it is designed to have Punk in the ring without having to give him the burden of a singles match. What matters is getting Punk back in the ring though, as he is going to need the ring time to get some rust off. Punk is a legend, but he hasn’t been in the ring in about nine months now. This should do well to let him warm up again and that is a good thing.
