He's Out: AEW Star Announces Departure From The Company

He’s out. There have been all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster since the company came into existence just over four years ago. Some of those wrestlers have come and gone but for the most part, they have become bigger deals during their time in the company. Now another is on his way out after quite a nice run with the promotion over the last few years.

AEW star Fuego del Sol has announced that he is leaving the company effective July 1 and is accepting independent bookings as a result. In the tweet announcing his departure, del Sol thanked AEW and said that this is just the beginning for him. Del Sol signed with AEW in August 2021 and last wrestled on January 28, as he has been out of action following a foot injury.

Thank you AEW.

Though this chapter is coming to a close, this is just the beginning for Fuego Del Sol.

Opinion: This is one of those things that is going to happen from time to time as not everyone is going to want to stay with the company for one reason or another. There is nothing to suggest that there is any heat between the two sides so thankfully things seem to be amicable. Del Sol’s time in AEW is going to be more than enough to make him a bigger deal on the independent circuit for a long time to come.
