He’s in too. AEW is still less than five years old but the company has already produced quite a few classic moments. Several of their best moments have been due to their talented roster which features wrestlers from around the world. It can make a big difference when another of those wrestler are brought on board, especially if it is a top name. Now the company has signed another star.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Down Again: Injury Update On Missing Former AEW Champion

This week’s AEW Dynamite featured a street fight between the Don Callis Family and Brian Cage vs. Kenny Omega/Kota Ibushi/Chris Jericho/Paul Wight. Following Ibushi and company’s win, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Ibushi was officially signed to the company. Ibushi has wrestled multiple matches for the company, but has always been a free agent. He is a former two time IWGP World Champion.

Ibushi is a heck of a star. Check out what he has done in AEW and New Japan:

Opinion: This is a big deal as Ibushi really is one of the bigger international stars today. While Ibushi has been around for a good while, it makes sense to have him officially signed after multiple important matches. I’m curious to see what is next for him when he is more than a special attraction, as Ibushi is someone who could offer quite a bit to AEW by being around more often.

What do you think of the signing? How will Ibushi work in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
