He's Out: 40 Year Old Former WWE Star Responds To Return Request, What He Has Been Doing

I guess that’s a no. With so many wrestlers coming through WWE’s doors over the years, it can be very difficult to make an impression. Some manage to make it work though, which can come through a variety of ways. One of the most common is with something that makes them stand out physically, and now we are hearing about what one of them has been doing long after he left WWE.

Back in 2003, Brock Lesnar had a feud with Zack Gowen, the first ever one legged wrestler in WWE history. This included Lesnar leaving Gowen laying multiple times, with one moment seeing Lesnar shove Gowen, in his wheelchair down a stairwell. A fan recently asked Gowen to return to WWE to face Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Gowen responded, saying he is a sober, 40 year old amputee with four children who works as a motivational speaker, calling that story “finished”. Gowen has wrestled on the independent circuit since leaving WWE in 2003, with his most recent match taking place in May of this year.

Opinion: This is one of those things that can be rather interesting, as Gowen has not been involved with WWE in about twenty years. At the same time, he has still been involved in wrestling for a very long time and seems to have put together quite the nice life for himself. Good for him for doing what he wants, as he has certainly come a long way while dealing with something most people do not have to face.
