That explains it. With WrestleMania 37 less than forty days away, it is time to really start setting things up. There are already a few matches set for the show, but you can also see where some of the card is going. While it is not a bad thing to start planning this far in advance, it can be a bit of a problem if the matches might not be so interesting. That could be the case with the latest match being teased.

Whether you like them or not, there is no one more important in WWE than the McMahons. The family is the most powerful and dominant in company history and that will likely be the case for a very long time to come. While they can be on television a bit too much at times, they get those spots for a reason: people know they are important and are interested when they are on. Now we might be heading for another WrestleMania match featuring one of them, though the setup for it was a little weird. There was a reason for that.

According to Fightful Select, Shane McMahon’s promo during this week’s Monday Night Raw went exactly as planned. McMahon took his time getting to the point and also walked around without saying anything for several moments. This was done as a way to annoy the fans and therefore get them on Strowman’s side to help continue the feud between the two of them. Strowman and McMahon are expected to face each other at WrestleMania but the match has not yet been confirmed.

It was a weird segment. Check out how McMahon annoyed Strowman:

Shane McMahon provokes Braun Strowman: Raw, Mar. 8, 2021

Opinion: This does make a bit of sense, though I’m still a bit confused about the idea of having Strowman as the hero in the whole thing. He has been treated as a villain throughout most of the build but now we are supposed to cheer for him. I’m not sure I get the idea, but WWE has a tendency to book the McMahons in a bit of a weird way most of the time anyway.
