That’s what’s next. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite celebrated the show’s first anniversary. While the company had officially started up several months prior to that, the debut of Dynamite was the moment that things really took off. That was worthy of a celebration and AEW did just that with quite the style, but now they have to look towards the future, which seems rather bright.

Perhaps AEW’s greatest strength is its roster. The company has more incredible talent than it knows what to do with and they seem to understand their riches in this area. A large portion of AEW’s first year was spent on setting up some names who might not have the deepest history, meaning it could be time to set up some other names we might have seen before. The second year seems to be a mixture of both concepts.

In a new interview with Screen Crush, AEW Vice Presidents the Young Bucks said that the second year will feature a higher focus on Kenny Omega and Darby Allin. Omega has spent most of the past year as part of a tag team with Hangman Page, with the two of them holding the Tag Team Titles for over six months. Allin has been featured as well and feuded with wrestlers such as Ricky Starks, Sammy Guevara and Cody.

This could be a good year. Check out the two future stars in the first twelve months:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by any of this as Omega has been treated as one of the biggest stars on the AEW roster and fans have been waiting on him to break out. Speaking of breaking out, Allin has been possibly the biggest breakout star in AEW so far and very well could be the World Champion one day. This makes for an interesting tease for next year, assuming it all comes together.

Which of the two names has the brighter future? Who do you want to see more of in the second year? Let us know in the comments below.
