He worked through. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when someone is going to suffer one during a match. Someone can get hurt at any given time during a match, even if you do not notice it while watching. What matters after that is seeing just how long someone is going to be out of action, and now we seem to have some good news.

Over the weekend, Drew McIntyre won the men’s Elimination Chamber match, earning the right to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. During an interview with the Bump after the match, McIntyre revealed that he suffered an ear injury during the match, saying his eardrum might have burst. There is no word on how long McIntyre might be out of the ring but there is nothing to suggest that his WrestleMania match is in jeopardy.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and now we get to see what happens with McIntyre going forward. He is on the way to one of the biggest matches of his career so I would expect him to be out of the ring for a little while to make sure that he is ok. Hopefully McIntyre is back to full health sooner than later, as he has less than six weeks to go before WrestleMania.
