OUCH. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them can leave a wrestler on the sidelines for a very long time. You never know when you are going to see someone put on the shelf, but there is always the chance that the injury announced is not the same as the real thing. That appears to be the case again, as one of the most popular names in WWE will be gone for a bit.

This week on NXT, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez attacked Rhea Ripley, leaving her bleeding. WWE has announced that Ripley has suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time. The company also released an X-Ray of the injury. According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, the angle is to cover a legitimate injury, though it is not clear what is actually wrong.

Opinion: You never want to see anyone get hurt but it seems that Ripley is going to be out of action for the time being. That was a nasty attack and while it should lead to Ripley getting her revenge down the line, it could take some time to make that happen. Hopefully it is sooner rather than later, as WWE is already giving Ripley quite the storyline reason to be out of action.
