Heading Out? Top AEW Stars Announce When They Plan To Retire (CONTAINS MILD SPOILER)

That’s it for them. Retirement is one of the trickiest things in wrestling as you never know when someone might be hanging up their boots for good. So many wrestlers have come back one more time after officially retiring and it makes things all the more complicated. Now two more current stars are announcing when they are going to be retiring, but there is some time to cover first.

Last week on AEW Dynamite, FTR defeated the Gunns to become AEW Tag Team Champions for the second time. This comes after the team’s contracts were reportedly set to expire this month. However, according to Wrestlingnews.co, at this week’s Rampage tapings, FTR has announced that they have signed new, four year deals with the company. When their deals are up, they both plan on retiring from wrestling.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that opens up a lot of doors for the team going forward and that should be quite a good thing going forward. FTR is still one of if not the most popular teams in AEW and it is nice to see them getting this kind of security after everything they have done. Now just let them be themselves and we could be in for a lot of greatness going forward.
