Final. There are certain wrestlers who reach a different level of stardom. These are wrestlers who reach legendary status and receive quite a bit more attention than most as a result. It can mean a lot to have them around for something special, and that includes a big time match. WWE has announced that Edge will face Sheamus this week on SmackDown as part of the celebration of Edge’s 25th anniversary in the company. Following the announcement, stories began circulating that this may be Edge’s retirement match, though nothing has been confirmed. Edge spoke with ET Canada and revealed that this will be the final match on his current WWE contract. He said that he did not know what would be next for him after that and did not confirm or deny that it would be his final match ever.
Edge has been a star for a long time. Check out what he has done in WWE over the years:
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going to happen with Edge’s future but it is almost sad to think that he could be gone soon. Assuming he is leaving after Friday, which is absolutely not a guarantee, he would get to go out on a special moment. If his match goes well, maybe there is a chance that he is done after this match and if that is the case, good for him to get to go out as he wants. Otherwise, good for us to have Edge coming back at some point in the future.
