He’s still in. There are all kinds of talented stars who do not work for either WWE or AEW. Those wrestlers will occasionally pops up and make appearances for the major promotions, which can make for some rather fun moments. That has been the case a few times over the last couple of weeks and now it seems that we are going to be seeing it take place again and again.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Healing Progress: Update On CM Punk’s Health, Expected Summerslam Status
Over the last several weeks, TNA and WWE have been running a crossover storyline, with TNA wrestlers showing up in NXT and vice versa. This has included Joe Hendry, who was victorious in the main event of last week’s show. Hendry appeared again this week, doing commentary on the opening match and talking to Gallus backstage later in the show. Gallus told Hendry to go back to his native Scotland, but Hendry said he would be sticking around as he liked NXT. There is no word on when he will return to the ring.
It’s working. Check out Hendry’s time in NXT:
Opinion: This is hardly a surprise as every week makes it seem more and more likely that Hendry will wind up in NXT once he leaves TNA. He has all of the charisma anyone could ask for and the in-ring ability to back it up. Hendry seems like he is going to be around for a good while at the moment though and if that winds up being an extended tryout or audition, good for both he and the fans.
What do you think of Hendry’s time in NXT? Do you want him there permanently? Let us know in the comments below.
