Kind of? Injuries are among the worst things that can happen to anyone in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to be put out of action. They can happen at a moment’s notice and the question becomes what happens after someone gets hurt. Unfortunately we might need to answer that question again with one of the biggest names in wrestling today.

The main event of this week’s SmackDown saw WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes defeat Carmelo Hayes in a non-title match. Late in the match, both of them tried a springboard at the same time, resulting in them crashing to the mat, with Rhodes coming up favoring his shoulder. Fightful Select reached out to Rhodes and asked if he was ok, with Rhodes responding “always”. There is no word on if Rhodes will miss any time from the ring.

Opinion: That could be worse, though Rhodes only kind of answered the question. At the end of the day, there is every chance that it was just a nasty landing and Rhodes will be able to do everything as scheduled. Hopefully everything is ok, but right now we are pretty much stuck waiting to see what Rhodes is able to do whenever he is back on WWE TV, including in the ring.
