Hand it over. Title changes are some of the most important parts of any wrestler’s career as you can see the start of a new era of both wrestlers’ careers. That can make for quite the change of pace, especially if someone has been chasing a championship for quite a long time. We saw something similar this week, as a title change took place, though it has not aired yet.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: REVIEW: WWF All American Wrestling – April 8, 1990: The Sunday After
In a match that took place after this week’s edition of SmackDown, Andrade defeated Ricochet to become the new WWE Speed Champion. Andrade is the second champion in the title’s history, after Ricochet won the inaugural championship in April. The match will air in the coming weeks, with WWE Speed airing every Wednesday on Twitter. The title is only defended on the show, with Ricochet not wearing the belt when he appeared on Monday Night Raw.

This should be good. Check out the new champion in action:
Opinion: The Speed Title is one of the most unique things in WWE as the company acknowledges that it exists, but at the same time, it only gets a focus for a few minutes every week. Then again that is kind of the point, though it is certainly quite the bizarre way to present anything. It’s nice to see Andrade winning a championship, though I’m not sure how much of a difference it is going to make for his career.
