He Did It: Important Detail On WWE Superstars Working Independent Shows Over WrestleMania Weekend

He did it. We are in a weird time in wrestling as WWE is officially in the hands of new owners with Vince McMahon no longer in sight. That makes for an interesting situation as we are seeing some new things that have never taken place before. This includes wrestlers getting new opportunities that might not have seemed fathomable in previous years. We now have an interesting detail on one of those changes.

Earlier this week, it was announced that WWE’s Shayna Baszler will take part in Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X for Game Changer Wrestling over WrestleMania Weekend in Philadelphia. This is believed to be one of multiple instances of WWE wrestlers being allowed to wrestle on independent events. According to F4WOnline.com, the decision to allow WWE stars on such shows was made by Triple H, who has a different view on the concept than McMahon. There is no word on when other such names will be announced.

Opinion: This is one of those things that is rather cool to see as I would not have bet on it being a possibility. At the end of the day, there are all kinds of WWE stars who are sitting on the sidelines with little to do. Why not let them go somewhere else and get to add some star power to another show? It’s not like this is a permanent move and it gives the fans a reason to try something new while seeing some familiar faces.
