Does she have a point? The Women’s Revolution is one of the most important things to happen to WWE in a long time. The changes made because of the movement have been tremendous and changed quite a bit about the way wrestling works. That Revolution was in full swing last week when a women’s match main evented WrestleMania 35. On the same show, Kofi Kingston became the first Africa born WWE Champion. However, one legend isn’t exactly convinced.

This one is going to get some people talking. Check out Gail Kim’s interview with some interesting statements (the comments of notes start at about the 8:15 mark):

Gail Kim on Racism in Pro Wrestling and Quitting WWE | Top 5 Gail Kim Moments

Gail Kim recently appeared on Ring The Belle to talk about racism in WWE, saying that Vince McMahon “doesn’t think that a person of color could be the face of his company.” She went on to talk about how Asian wrestlers such as Kairi Sane and Asuka get hired and grouped together because WWE doesn’t know what to do with them. This interview was filmed before WrestleMania 35 when Kingston won the title.

Opinion: This is one of those very sensitive areas in wrestling and I could see why Kim would think this way. Asuka and Sane have been teamed together in NXT and while they’re successful, it does seem that they were thrown together for a lack of anything better to do. At the same time though, Kingston is the current WWE Champion and the Rock is one of the biggest stars in the company’s history.

Do you agree with what Kim said? Was she stereotyped in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
