The changes continue. The biggest WWE story of the summer has been the addition of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to the company’s staffs with the two of them becoming Executive Directors of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live respectively. Heyman has seemed to take over his show already, but Bischoff’s time has not yet started. However, it might not be happening anytime soon.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bischoff may not have nay creative control over SmackDown Live whatsoever. Bischoff had no input on this week’s show and going forward, he will be leading the show but not as someone with any hand in creative. Instead, Bischoff will be “interfacing” with SmackDown Live and FOX while Ryan Ward continues to head creative. At the moment, it is not clear what responsibilities Bischoff will actually have, though he will be leading the show.

Heyman and Bischoff have worked together before. Check out a rare televised appearance from the two of them:

Opinion: I’m not sure how well this will work but there is a logic to the idea. One of the criticisms of Bischoff’s creative over the years is that there have been a lot of NWO style angles. Bischoff may not be the best in the world at creative, but he does know how to creative some buzz. That’s what SmackDown Live needs right now and maybe he can pull it off.

Do you think Bischoff will do well at his job? What is the biggest change he will make? Let us know in the comments below.
