Spooky indeed. It’s no surprise when a wrestling show doesn’t do well on a holiday. There’s just more important stuff to do and if there isn’t anything worth going out of your way to see, why bother watching the show? That seemed to be the case this week for “Smackdown Live” as the big attraction was a pair of qualifying matches for “Survivor Series 2017”.

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode drew 2.119 million viewers, which is down a staggering 21.5% from last week’s 2.699 million viewers. This week’s show also drew a .65 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down 20% from last week’s .81 rating. It should be noted that this week’s show aired on Halloween and didn’t have the impact of last week’s “Monday Night Raw” invasion fallout. The show was also up against the World Series.

Opinion: I’m not surprised at all by this as “Smackdown Live” didn’t feel important and there were a lot of other factors working against it. If this is the case again next week then there’s a big problem, but for now this almost has to be expected. “Monday Night Raw” being rather dull didn’t help things either.
